The fiscal year 2024–2025 Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) heavy-duty funding cycle officially closed on November 19 — and the response was overwhelming. With over $36 million in voucher funds available, this cycle saw strong engagement from purchasers, dealers, OEMs, and public agencies across California. The demand underscores the growing momentum for zero-emission off-road equipment, and the critical role CORE plays in accelerating clean technology adoption.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Small Businesses Lead the Way: Over 90% of requested vouchers came from small businesses, with 10% from government agencies, affirming CORE’s mission to empower these stakeholders.
  • High Demand in Agriculture & Construction: Requests from these sectors exceeded available funding by 4x, underscoring the importance of CORE in reducing upfront costs and driving zero-emission adoption.
  • 600+ Pieces of Equipment Requested: This number highlights the urgent need for continued investment in clean off-road technology.

SUCCESS STORIES

The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) partnered with CORE to deploy 14 pieces of zero-emission off-road equipment. The results have been boosted efficiency, improved working conditions, and lowered operational costs.

Thank you for being part of this successful cycle. Stay tuned for details on the CARB Workgroup Webinar in 2026, where stakeholders can help shape the next round of funding.
