Get ready for the Zero-Emissions Showcase + Ride & Drive event in Oakland hosted by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and CALSTART on August 14, 2024! Join us at the Oakland Arena from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT, to explore the latest in zero-emissions vehicles and cutting-edge technologies. This event will feature medium- and heavy-duty trucks (Class 2b-8), heavy-duty off-road equipment, school and transit buses, and commercial vans.

Future of Food, Fresno Zero-Emissions Showcase

In June, CORE in partnership with Fresno State's Water, Energy and Technology (WET) Center brought together growers, equipment manufacturers, and industry leaders for the third stop on the Future of Food tour. The event highlighted innovative solutions in agricultural sustainability, featuring zero-emissions vehicles and clean off-road equipment.

Port Electrification Conference

The 2nd Annual Port Electrification US Conference in Long Beach, CA, was a pivotal gathering for exploring electrification solutions in port operations. CORE project administrators led industry conversations focused on creating more sustainable port practices and financial support from CA incentives like CORE. Our participation underscored California's commitment to sustainable port infrastructure.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) and CALSTART are pleased to announce the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) will begin accepting voucher applications on August 13 at 9 a.m. Pacific.

To prepare for the heavy-duty application period, CORE project administrators hosted a webinar to review the CORE FY 23-24 Heavy-Duty Implementation Manual (IM), which includes updates on new requirements, guideline modifications, voucher amounts, and detailed information on eligible equipment categories. These updates ensure stakeholders understand the requirements and procedures for participating in CORE.

The Landscape Expo is a regional trade show and educational conference for landscape professionals from all facets of the industry. The event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center and feature electric equipment and product demonstrations, seminars, and various exhibitors. Stop by the CORE booth (#680) and tune into the Zero-Emission Landscaping Equipment seminar on Thursday, September 21 from 8 – 9 am to learn more about the benefits of zero-emission landscaping equipment, how to apply for voucher incentives, and to get updates on state regulations.

The California CORE Project has partnered up with the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) to put together FREE Professional Landscape Service Equipment Showcase events, where small businesses and sole proprietors can test zero-emission professional landscaping equipment, connect with industry professionals and learn more about equipment technology and CORE funding opportunities.

The CORE team had a great time participating in the 2023 World AG Expo in Tulare CA, the world's largest annual agricultural exposition! More than 1,200 exhibitors displayed the latest in farm equipment, communications and technology on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. Free seminars focused on a variety of topics important to dairy producers, farmers, ranchers and agribusiness professionals. This was a great space for the CORE team to connect with industry leaders and community members as well as share information about the Project's new equipment categories and funding opportunities. CORE now funds zero-emission Agricultural Equipment and Professional Landscape Service Equipment, learn more!

Public Workgroup Meeting for the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) Heavy-Duty FY22-23

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has allocated $273 million of Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-23 funding to the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive (CORE) Project, furthering the shift to zero-emission technology in diverse markets, industries, and applications using zero-emission off-road equipment. This year, CARB will continue to build on key efforts to ensure the project operates effectively at this proposed funding level. Staff will continue to engage with stakeholders through a public work group process to update implementation of the program in the following areas:

- Equity and small business considerations
- Funding categories
- Program eligibility metrics
- Zero-emission equipment refueling support

On February 9, 2023, CARB will hold a public workgroup to discuss CORE implementation. Topics will include an overview of the CORE Project, FY 2021-22 voucher funding outcomes, and FY 2022-23 Implementation and projected timeline.
